Canadian Solar (NASDAQ:CSIQ) said Thursday it will supply 1,200 MWh of energy storage products to Recurrent Energy’s Papago Storage project in Arizona.
The project, which will be operated by Canadian Solar’s (CSIQ) Recurrent Energy subsidiary, will use e-STORAGE’s SolBank, the company’s proprietary battery energy storage solution designed for utility-scale applications.
Once operational, Papago Storage will be one of the world’s largest standalone energy storage projects and the largest standalone energy storage project in Arizona, the company said.
Canadian Solar (CSIQ) said it has deployed more than 2.7 GWh of e-STORAGE solutions across the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and China.
Recurrent Energy is expected to begin construction on Papago Storage in Q3 2024.
